4th Annual Soccer Streets Cup
Atlanta hosts teams from 7 states
To expose children to the "tournament experience" and showcase the
unheralded talent being nurtured through its programs, Soccer Streets is pleased to announce the 4th annual Soccer Streets
Cup on November 18, 2000.
New for 2000 is a name change. The Soccer Streets Cup will now be referred to as the
"Soccer Streets Heroes Cup" in recognition of the competitive division being added to this year's event.
Teams from as far as Houston, TX and Milwaukee, WI will be competing for the Soccer Streets Cup. - FULL

Soccer Streets Kids Share Field with Caribbean Soccer Pros
Caribbean Visions, a Caribbean communications company and sponsor of the C.E.R.F. Soccer Challenge 2000, invited
two teams from Soccer In The Streets to play in a pre-game match. The Caliphs from Clara Mohammed School in
Atlanta, GA and Unity Sports from Greenville, S.C. competed at the C.E.R.F. Soccer Challenge 2000 featuring
the World Cup team the Reggae Boyz from Jamaica and Grupo Taca Champions Team El Salvador. The proceeds benefited
the Caribbean Economic Relief Fund (C.E.R.F.) and Soccer In The Streets.

Mexican Club Teams Compete in US, Event Benefits Soccer Streets Kids
Sears,
sponsor of the qualifying tournament that will decide which club teams in Mexico will vie for the South American
club championship, Copa Libertadores, and Soccer Streets teamed up to bring soccer equipment to Latino/a children
in six U.S. cities.
The "Equipos del Futuro" (Teams of the Future) Program stresses the importance
of keeping kids playing to help grow into self-assured adults. This program has been successfully introduced
in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Fresno, CA, Dallas and Houston, TX and Chicago, IL.
